Woven on pure Katan silk in Banaras, its vivid red ground is scattered with small diamond bootas in gold zari. Each one is woven individually in the Khadwa technique, so it sits crisp and raised on the silk. The border is a strong, graphic band of diamond lattice and chevrons in gold zari.
