Woven on pure Katan silk in Banaras, its deep blue ground is scattered with small diamond bootas in gold zari. Each one is woven individually in the Khadwa technique, so it sits crisp and raised on the silk. The border is a strong, graphic band of diamond lattice and chevrons in gold zari, with flashes of red. It’s modern and rooted, understated and powerful: a sari that doesn’t tell you who to be, but holds every version of you.
