Sachi Zari Chanderi Dupatta
Price on request
Description
Woven on fine Chanderi cotton, this dupatta uses real zari in two tones, made the traditional way real zari has always been made. The gold zari is pure silver (97.67%) water-gilded with a fine layer of real gold, and the silver zari is pure silver (98.24%). Their purity is verified by independent lab assay certificates.
Across a deep red ground, the pallu opens into a grid of saffron lines. Each panel holds a bold, stylised motif, such as stepped diamonds, lamp forms and tree shapes, woven in zari. Meenakari in saffron, emerald green and rani pink adds bursts of colour between them, and small bootas are scattered across the body. Every motif is woven individually in the Khadwa technique, which gives the zari a raised, sculpted richness that a running weave cannot match. The edges are bound in a warm mustard border and finished with zari and red silk tassels on a hand-knotted net.
This is gold and silver you can test, not just admire. It is a true heirloom, made to be worn now and passed down.
