Dhruvtara | The One-Off Bandhani Dupatta

A true one-off, and a piece that fits right in.

It begins with bandhani at its finest: thousands of tiny hand-tied dots in a checkerboard of red, orange and pink, each square holding its own little constellation. Over this, the dupatta is lavished with hand embroidery of an exceptional grade. Golden florets sit at the heart of the squares, and grand medallions bloom along the borders, framed by bands of lattice and fine scrolling vines, lit with sequins and gold thread. The edges are finished in hand-knotted jaali and tassels.

Every dot is tied by hand, and every stitch is placed by hand. Pieces like this aren’t repeated; each one is its own.
